Stanford students with “Blank Space” in their winter schedule can take a Taylor Swift course. Stanford will offer an ‘All Too Well (Ten Week Version)’ course analyzing Swift’s latest album.

The class is part of Stanford’s ITALIC 99 courses, taught by alumni as part of an arts-focused residence program for first-year students.

Ava Jeffs, the course instructor, and upcoming sophomore, spoke to KRON4 about her lifelong dream of teaching a course on Swift’s work. Jeffs wrote her entrance essay to Stanford based on a Taylor Swift song, so teaching this class feels like a full-circle moment.

NYU’s Clive Davis Institute launched a course on Swift’s career in February 2022. The singer spoke at the NYU graduation the same year.
