Scarlet, Doja Cat’s next album, has been formally announced, and it will be available in a matter of weeks.

The Grammy-winning rapper and singer turned to Instagram on Tuesday, August 29, to announce the title, cover art, and September 22 release date of her long awaited fourth studio album.

The artwork shows a purple spider in front of a white backdrop with a drop of purple liquid (perhaps blood or poison) next to its teeth, staying true to the eerie and rather gruesome imagery of her recent music videos, social media postings, and tattoos.

Ahead of the song’s release on Friday, Doja Cat has made a teaser for her next single “Demons” available online.

The actress Christina Ricci, well known for portraying Wednesday Addams in the 1991 film The Addams Family, co-stars in the horror film-inspired teaser as a suburban homeowner whose new home is tormented by a demon (played by Doja Cat).
