Happy International Beer Day! Here’s Some of Marc’s Favorite Local Beers

Yes, Happy International Beer Day!  And it’s FRIDAY!  Today I am reminded of this famous quote from our Nation’s 16th President and how relevant it is in 2020.

“I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer.” – Abraham Lincoln

I say we turn this International Beer Day into International Beer Weekend.  We are blessed with over 120 breweries throughout the Bay Area.  Check out this map from the Bay Area Brewers Guild.   Many of them are open for pickup and delivery.  Here’s a list of some of my favorite local brews…in no particular order.

Double Dank from Uproar Brewing – San Jose

Blind Pig from Russian River Brewing – Santa Rosa

Anomaly Milk Stout from Faction Brewing – Alameda

Santa Cruz Classic Dot Blonde Ale from Strike Brewing Co – San Jose

Sea Farmer IPA from Fieldwork Brewing – Several Bay Area Locations

HenHouse Kölsch from HenHouse Brewing Company – Sonoma County

Enjoy International Beer Day and Drink Local!  And is this where I’m supposed to say “drink responsibly” so our lawyers are happy?

Also, follow me on Instagram where I post beer pics quite often!

Cheers!  – Marc Acton
