Santa Clara County has gotten many complaints about people not following health orders and now there are consequences.
On Tuesday, The Board of Supervisors announced that anyone who is not following public health orders in Santa Clara County can be fined up to $500.
This includes not wearing a face mask and not socially distancing from others properly.
Businesses that are not following health orders are also at risk of being fined up to $5,000.
