The 2022 Emmy nominations (for TV) are out and HBO’s amazing show “Succession” leads with the most nominations – 25!  It stands to win quite a few in the acting department too.  Apples “Ted Lasso” and HBO’s “The White Lotus” faired well with 20 nominations each.

“Squid Game” got 14 nominations. And posthumous nominations this year went to Chadwick Boseman, Jessica Walker, and Norm Macdonald.

Kind of upside down, but Stanger Things only received ONE nomination for Best Drama Series.  Selena Gomez was overlooked for the acting awards, but Steve Martin and Martin Short were both nominated for “Only Murders in the Building”. Selena was nominated in the Producer category though, which makes her the third Latina to be nominated for a comedy series in the (74 year) history of the Emmy’s.

Also congrats Zendaya (Euphoria) she has made Emmy history as the youngest woman producer, and youngest two-time leading actor ever nominated!

See the complete list of nominees here, and the awards will be presented September 19th on NBC and Peacock.
