John Atwell, a World War II veteran from Sunnyvale just had a big surprise for his 95th birthday.
His daughter Julie, reached out to ABC 7 News in the Bay Area asking for Birthday cards for her Father’s special day.
Since his Birthday last month, John has received over 500 cards and different gifts from people all over the world!

One general from Hawaii even sent John a medallion that was given to men during service.
John says he’s been reading every single letter and has a lot left to read.
