On May 30th, Target announced that over 100 of their locations in the U.S will be temporarily closed.

About 20+ of those stores are also in the Bay Area.

This statement below is from Target’s latest press release was posted on their website:

“We are heartbroken by the death of George Floyd and the pain it is causing communities around the country. At this time, we have made the decision to close a number of our stores. We anticipate most stores will be closed temporarily.”

Target mentioned that team members who will be impacted by the closure will be paid for up to 14 days of scheduled hours which will also include COVID-19 hazard pay.
