Usually, when Hollywood tries to adapt a movie or series from a video game, things don’t work out well.

This time is different.

More than 4.7 million people watched the series premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us. 

To put that into perspective, when Boardwalk Empire made its debut, 4.81 million viewers tuned in.

Reviews of the first episode have been favorable. So favorable that the series scored 99 percent.
