Tips for Long Healthy Hair!

Wouldn’t we all love to have beautiful hair without having to work at it?  There ARE some things that can help just by adding them to your diet!

First thing is protein – make sure to consume plenty. It keeps your scalp healthy and you can get it in foods like salmon, peanut butter, white meat poultry, lentils, eggs,  chia seeds, spinach, and beans.

Vitamin B supports cellular energy production, and encourages healthy hair growth.  You can get this in salmon, leafy greens, eggs and legumes. (Careful of the supplements with Biotin – some people are allergic.)

And finally the mighty Vitamin D is great for hair.  It’s believed to be one of the fat-soluble vitamins that creates and supports hair follicles.  We all know you can get Vitamin D from the sun, but most people need a lot more.  So add shiitake mushrooms, button mushrooms, sardines or eggs to your diet, or use a supplement (the gummies are great!)

Other great hair help comes from berries, avocados, sweet potatoes, cinnamon and oysters!
