Vecna from Stranger Things sings “About Damn Time”
Vecna is one of the most terrifying villains in TV history.
And is also one of the most terrifying villains in Dungeons and Dragons.
But Jamie Campbell Bower, the actor behind the horrific antagonist, is just an adorable goober.
While on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Stranger Things actor showed off his voice acting chops in the best way.
Reading funny scripts as his iconic character.
“The twist is, they’re all things that Vecna would never say”
Holding a glittering, silver voice-changing microphone, Bower re-created phrases from iconic films.
And there’s just something so incredible about hearing things like “draw me like one of your French girls” from Titanic…
From the gravel-voiced nightmare that is Vecna.
Among the phrases Bower read, there was the speech from Notting Hill…
“I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her”
He then read the Cocoa Puffs slogan, and a phrase of affirmation…
And it all culminated in the pièce de résistance…

Vecna will return in Stranger Things 5
Stranger Things may be ending after its 5th season.
But that won’t be the last you see of Hawkins, Indiana.
According to Yahoo, the Duffer Brothers recently appeared on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast to discuss the final season.
Josh Horowitz, the host, asked about the confirmed spinoff.
The Duffers explained some of the rumors they’d been hearing:
“I’ve read these rumors that there’s gonna be an Eleven spinoff, that there’s gonna be a Steve and Dustin spinoff, or that it’s another number [from Dr. Brenner’s lab]”
They continued:
“That’s not interesting to me because we’ve done all that. We’ve spent I don’t know how many hours exploring all of that. So it’s very different”
It’s very unlikely we’ll see any of the main cast during the spinoff, since the Duffers have all but confirmed everyone’s story will wrap up in Season 5.
But there will be, as they say, “connective tissue.”
Yahoo quotes more from the interview:
“The most important connective tissue I would say is the storytelling sensibility of it. There is story that connects to the Stranger Things world, but it really is more about how we’re telling that story.”
Interestingly enough, they also confirmed they’re not going to be as “intimately involved” in the spinoff as the regular series.
“Hopefully we find that right person to pass the baton to while we go on to do new stuff”
