I made this on a 70 degree February day but I think this drink would be perfect to make during a chilly day in Lake Tahoe. Especially if you roast the pecans on the bbq outside during a light snow! This drink is sweet, nutty, and the Tahoe Blue Vodka makes it so smooth! Cheers!

RECIPE:

Makes 5 – 6 cocktails

3 oz chopped pecans

6 shots Tahoe Blue Vodka

3 egg whites

1/2 tsp sea salt

2/3 cup sugar

5 oz water

a few dark chocolate chunks (optional)

HOW TO:

In a skillet roast the pecans for about 4 minutes. Turn heat off and add sugar and water. Stir and let sit for a few minutes. Strain the pecan syrup into a container and let cool for another couple minutes. Strain the pecan syrup into your cocktail shaker again and all all other ingredients to shaker as well. Do not add ice to the shaker yet. Dry shake for a minute to allow the egg whites to break up. Add some ice and shake again. Pour into your glasses and top with nutmeg.
